has got a brush that's going to spin around as we feed it through agitate any of the dirt coming out and then it's got a vacuum attached to it so when that dirt gets agitated it'll go actually into the vacuum usually it takes about three hours for a typical house so pretty much we're going to run that through all the nuts returns and clean around the actual boot but then at the very end what we're going to do is we're going to take a disinfectant and we're going to run it into the return and that's going to go through all those ducts and help clean out any fungi bacteria and odors and so after that we do a thorough cleanup and that's pretty much the process

so this person is actually going to have actually HEPA filters put in here too which is going to improve even more the air quality in fact I don't think they're going to have a speck of dirt in this house another thing I'd like to announce on this is this house is actually being foamed and one thing that people don't ever think about when they foam their house is foaming a house you're sealing that house completely up well there's some negative effects that actually come from not being able to bring in any kind of fresh air whereas a normal house will have a little bit of bleed through you don't get that on a foamed house so one thing that we're putting in is what we call an Erv and instead of just bringing fresh air from the outside an Erv will actually mix the air so that it actually conditions it before it goes into the system so you're not losing any efficiency from bringing in just hot outside air or cold outside air
This happens when you don't change filters in your home

That is a a Yeti layer that is needing to be spelunked. [music] You're breathing that. Whenever your duct work is this dirty, here's what I know is happening. One, [music] your air conditioner is probably starved for air. Uh because we are either having a very clogged filter and your filter is doing all that it can [music] to catch the dirt, dust, and debris. Or uh because it's this dirty, we might have a situation where maybe a filter forgot to be changed or never got put in. And now we have a bunch of dirt, dust, and debris caked all over our evaporator coil. And this can lead to a lot [music] of adverse health effects. Uh you know anybody who has asthma or allergies uh will be suffering in the [music] home or uh you know worst case scenarios we've seen you know there this can cause some mold issues to arise things like that. One get your ducks cleaned. Two let's get on a regular filter changing schedule. Join our maintenance plan actually and we can make that happen for you. But get on a regular filter changing schedule. My dad his trick you know I don't know if he actually lives by it but it's what he tells us. So it's one of those it may be one of those like do as I say [music] not as I do situations. Who knows? But every time the electric bill comes in, he says that's whenever he should go change his filters. [singing] [music]

so this is a pretty good air filter now being that this 1 in is going to be a lot cheaper than this 2 in but with how much wear and tear you're going to do on your blower motor by not having enough air flow through there it would actually benefit to put that money into it a little bit more of expensive filter but not affect the unit let's look at another one of the filters is probably my favorite filter especially if you're worried about allergies and and other factors like that this is a 4 a 5 in filter um it also is rated for MF 16 which means it's going to collect a lot more of those dust particles so this is actually great this is actually a carbon filter too another benefit of this you could go 6 months without changing this out now give it that varies too but for the most part you can go 6 months as opposed to a month to 3 months let's see how this one goes so as we can see with that more surface area because of the thicker filter we get way better air flow

There are products on the market that assist the filter in doing its job, but you need to be cautious whenever selecting these products. An ionizer is a great option that will assist the filter in catching more of the particles that are in the air. You can go with something like the Eyewave R. It's a great option or the Phenomenal Air. Either one of these are a great option. I recommend having an ionizer in your house. I've got one in my house. Ionizers work great. They cut down on the dust and they neutralize bacteria and viruses that are airborne, just making your whole home healthier. [music] And most important to me, they reduce inh home allergens. Whenever you switch from heating to cooling, >> [music] >> sometimes if your system has been sitting dormant for a little while and you haven't using it, you might experience a little bit of a smell. So, it kind of smells uh smells a lot like a dirty sock. What that is is there's some bacteria on the inside part of the coil and as the air moves past that bacteria, it emits kind of a smell. And there's a pretty easy way to mitigate that is just to >> [music] >> make sure your unit's maintained and cleaned. And so, once that coil's clean, the smell generally goes away. Um and so, that's whenever you are switching during the season, people have been experiencing that. [music] Hey guys, I hope this video was helpful. there's a lot of viruses going around kids are back in school the weather's changing allergies are a thing I have three little ones and they're you know running noses and all that kind of stuff um but something that we can do to help uh stop a lot of that is cleaning the air in our house indoor air is about 3 to five times more polluted than outdoor air but a lot of the air is just being recycled and especially particles and and viruses that are too small to get caught by just a 1in pleated filter just flying right through and just getting recycled back into the air so something we can do is put in a whole home ionizer and so it cleans the air in your entire house that's a really good way to um you know help mitigate viruses allergies you know especially via the asthma or anything like that if you are interested in any of that if want to talk about kind of what those options might look like for you and your family comment below message give us a phone call and I would love to talk to you about that anyway hope you have a great day and uh let's make it a good one
Setting your fan to ON will do this

But if you feel like the air in your house is stale, set your fan to on. So turning your fan to on as opposed to auto, one increases the evaporation occurring in your home, which cools you down, and two will help increase the effectiveness of your filters because we're going to have more air circulating, catching more dust, debris, and allergens as it goes around. I got a case of the lifts.

One thing that people that probably don't think about a whole lot is how much allergens your pets are bringing into your house, especially if you have a pet that you send outside, they come inside, they've been rolling around in the grass, all that pollen settling down on the ground, and their fur is picking a lot of that up. You know, once your pets come in, make sure you're getting them brushed, make sure you're getting them getting them wiped down. We've got a new puppy. Every time that guy comes outside, comes inside, we're wiping him down. That's mostly for me, cuz I'm suffering from allergies. People might not think a whole lot about is how much they're introducing to their home when their pets been [music] outside and come inside. Y'alls. >> [singing]

one of the things that happened back in Co that they found out is a lot of the people would not get sick when they would go outside they actually would get sick when they would be inside the bad thing about indoor air is it's always circulating the same air you have viruses and they just have ways to grow and grow and grow and instead of getting like fresh air to whereas the sun will be a natural killer to a lot of those particulates we don't have that inside so this is a great device to kind of give you that natural killing effect um in nature you'll actually find that like waterfalls and things like that will produce ions so that's always great well unless you got a waterfall in your house which we hope you don't but if you do we do plumbing too

izers are great they're a big Improvement on your air filtration so instead of using a filter that's going to affect air flow this is actually going to use ions to make that dirt actually Clump together better so that it catches in that filter so we can have a less efficient filter but more air flow

really installing it really doesn't take that much time anywhere from about 30 minutes to an hour depending on your system you do have some choices on where you would want to put it on your system and that's one thing that people don't realize is you get different benefits by where you put it on the systems today I'm going to be putting on the supply side it's really more because this unit is an air handler I could put it on the return side but some of the benefits you get from putting on the return side would be lost because some of those ions could actually get caught by the filter that's here cuz it's a pretty good filter on this system we want to put it where we're going to get the most benefit which would be on the supply side at my house I actually have it on the return side and one of the benefits for that is it actually goes through the actual evaporator coil so it gets to kill some of that bacteria that builds up on evaporator coils that stuff can get into your drain line and clog it up so I do lose some benefit by having it go over my coil but the plus benefit of not having a drain that will get clogged and stuff like that is is a plus for me

this customer does have an eyew wave which is a ionizer it helps eliminate viruses bacteria in your duct work it also helps with dust issues free floating dust in the house what it does is that dust comes through here and then using a electromagnetic waves it pulls that dust to it clumps it up and then sends it out to your duct work into the house which then return pulls back into that and hits that filter because sometimes those dust particles are so small that you can't pick up by the filter so we have people who change their filters every two months and yet they still have such a bad dust problem
