A recent service call in Oklahoma City turned into a multi-part visit to ensure year-round comfort for a homeowner dealing with both cooling and heating concerns. When it comes to AC maintenance in Oklahoma City, thorough inspections and repairs are vital for maintaining comfort.
Maintenance Visit & Cooling System Inspection
Our technician began with a standard AC maintenance on one system. This included:
- Thoroughly washing the outdoor unit
- Verifying refrigerant pressure
- Clearing drain lines
- Inspecting all electrical components
The customer had already replaced the air filter before our visit, but we made note to bring an extra filter during the next scheduled maintenance.
Diagnosing a Furnace Heating Issue
While we were on-site, the homeowner mentioned that their heat hadn’t been working properly during the previous season. Upon inspection, we found that the furnace was attempting to run in cooling mode without sending voltage through the W wire - a sign of a faulty control board.
We recommended replacing the board, and the customer approved the repair. A new board was ordered and scheduled for installation.
Control Board Replacement & Final System Check
During our follow-up visit, we installed the new control board and tested the system in all modes at the thermostat. Everything is now operating smoothly, and the homeowner is ready for whatever Oklahoma weather brings next.
